After yet more ice cream we headed home and promptly got lost. At one point we were heading for Rome. Whoever designed the road signage system in Italy should be dragged out and shot, if they haven't been already. Appalling. However, with a handy reference in the background, I think they are called the Alps, we could generally get a sense of where we should be heading and got back without too much hassle. We hit the sack early as the next day we were catching a train from Verona to Venice. Now that's an adventure!
Somehow we did make the 8.15am train from Verona the next day but not without a bit of running and it was an hour on the Italian Intercity to Venice.
