Annecy Part 2

Extraordinary old town, wonderful lake and we had organised to meet Simon and Rachelle at a picturesque farmhouse B&B 10km outside Annecy so we drive out there after a quick look at Annecy first and had a lovely ole time catching up with the Seddonites (their house is next to Seddon station). (Which is worse, a Seddonite or a Yarravillain? I'm not sure either.) It will delightful to sit in the garden on a summer's evening under the trees with mountains all around us.

Not a bad little B&B

In the 3 days we had at the farmhouse we drove in to town and ate far too much ice cream, had a picnic in the (perfect in the sense of manicured as only the French can do) park, went down to the lake and had a swim at the beach,

Finley can't help having a good time

Rachelle and Finn. Not a bad backdrop for a dip

and the following day went on a bit of a drive through some stunning countryside to Aix les Bains (famous for the thermal waters) for a swim in a thermal pool.
