So a relatively short sojourn down the autostrada from Argegno to Verona and this time I was driving a Maserati, not a SEAT hatchback (it's all in the mind).
Belissimo!
The autostrada was nothing, nada. We even overtook a Ferrari! When in Rome.... Or at least Italy.
Said Ferrari victim about to eat hatchback. Take that Schumacher!
We stopped at Bergamo for lunch and caught another funicular up the hill to the old town. What is it with these Italians and beautiful old towns? Simply stunning. So lunch and a coffee in the square overlooked by some clock tower 700 years old.
We then had a quick look at the cathedral and a sort of sundial which told the date as opposed to the time. Clever these Italians.
Back down the funicular (old hats at such things now) and back on to the autostrada which I now owned.
