Samois Part 2

Lovely village

So we finally got to see Edo's place which we had heard numerous excellent stories about. Their house lies just outside the village of Samois and has a wheat field either side of it. The favourite of course is where after buying the very old house, he discovered that the gradient to the septic tank was wrong and the sewerage was flowing back into the house.

Ouch

Edo was given two options, 1: $10000 or some such enormous figure to dig the septic tank out with various machinery or 2: $30 to buy a shovel from the local hardware store.

Edo went the shovel.

2-3 weeks later the gradient was just right and Edo was a lot slimmer.

Of course we also got to meet Edo's better half, Tao, and their 3 kids, Madeleine, Charlotte and Hugh again.
