This time Musee d'Orangery (OK no food there, but at least some in the name) for a spot of art and kulcha. Just the right size gallery for kids, with several ENORMOUS Monet waterlily paintings. Ben swore he saw a piranha eating a duck in one of the paintings.
Then a trek to continue Delia's self organised gastronomic tour of Paris with a visit to a VERY French fromagerie. Difficult to walk into this one without having your noses blown clean off. Strong stuff.
Now that's a LOT of cheese
Delia was keen to take a photo or two of the amazing selection of cheeses but was warned off by Madam! She got a sneaky shot or two in, justifying it by saying she needed to remember the names. We left the premises with some interesting concoctions, some of which only got a wee nibble but others were wolfed down. Then it was home time for our last night in Paris before we headed off to visit some friends in Fontainebleau (Napoleon's old shack)
But did you see Cadel???
ReplyDeleteSadly, no. The most amazing tour for years, an Australian looked like winning, it was only a few hundred kms from us and I didn't see any of it. AAAAAGGHH
