I headed off to the conference I'd organised and Delia took the kids to a snake farm where they milked snakes to make antivenom and then on to Lumphini Park for a play. The snake farm sounded pretty amazing and Ben was in heaven. In fact he is now conspiring with Delia to get a snake for a pet when we get home.
Fat chance.
Lumphini Park was great too as they saw lots of lizards and a turtle as well as playing in the playground.

Some of the talks at my conference were a bit dull but I had enormous fun haggling with tailors to make me a suit or two. Couldn’t help myself now that I’ve got a grown up job and everyfing. I also got to wander around a bit and enjoy the mayhem that is Bangkok. Such a wonderful mix of hectic traffic, street stalls with amazing food, dodgy electrical wiring that looks like black spaghetti overhead and the wonderfully run down concrete they use to make the city. Having said that we have travelled on their Metro system and it is a billion times better than our trains.
On the rather busy Metro. You can just see Finley’s head squished in at the bottom
It was a very pleasant return to our hotel/apartment after a long day wandering around and jumping in the pool was a dream
The pool and our apartment somewhere off to the left.
